Madi has been accepted  by audition,  into Belmont's prestigious Songwriting Program in the Curb College of Entertainment and Music Business in Nashville. She has been awarded the Provost Scholarship for academics and plans to minor in Music Business.

Madi's audition survived  first round judges and the online voting.  Advanced as a semi-finalist, she will perform her original work at Tannahill Music Hall in Fort Worth on January 24 before panel of judges, including a Live Nation Talent Booker, a record label representative and a radio station program director. The three artists earning the highest scores from the judges, will advance to the finals on February 7, 2026.  Tickets are available through Ticketmaster.  

This award is given in memory of Dr. Laurence Perrine, professor of English at Southern Methodist University, whose scholarly dedication to the study of poetry has inspired so many through the years. The award is presented to that Highland Park senior who has demonstrated a sensitivity to, an appreciation of and creative accomplishment as a poet.
